We are delighted to announce the Intera 5.3 Software Update is available for you to download today!

This update provides access to the PROFINET® and EtherNet/IP™ Fieldbus Protocols, as well as some motion controls updates.  

Intera 5.3 Update Features:

• EtherNet/IP™ can now be enabled on robot without the need of additional hardware

  • Synchronization with EtherNet/IP Scanners. Multiple modules are available.

  • EDS file available in Online User Guide and in Software

  • Passed EtherNet/IP Conformance Composite Test revision CT15 by ODVA

• PROFINET®

  • Synchronization with IO Controllers. Multiple modules are available.

  • GSD file available in Online User Guide and in Software

  • Tested and Certified to have met compliance to Test Specifications for PROFINET, Version 2.34 from Feb. 2017 by PROFI Interface Center

• Motion Controls Improvements

  • In most cases, the overall cycle time of a task will be improved when using Intera 5.3 over Intera 5.2. Please read the “Upgrade Instructions” in the Release notes for some considerations.

SDK  users can also use Intera 5.3.  There is no new SDK functionality with Intera 5.3.
